Currently

I'm linking up with Farley for the January Currently.
We have been so lucky this holiday season to have it snow on Christmas Eve and now it's snowing on New Years!

I go back to school on Thursday. Actually, I'm going in tomorrow to get things ready so it's good-bye to my comfy P.J.s after today. I've really enjoyed this break. It's good we have these. Teachers need to rest and recharge.

My hubby is going to make me a bench for my new Smart board. The district mounted it on top of my white board about 4 inches higher. My kiddos can't even reach the middle of it. So my hubs is making a 65 inches long by 15 inches wide by 12 inches high carpeted bench for my firsties to stand on. Only problem is, he needs to find some time to get it done.

My word is SIMPLIFY! I really need to just make things in my life simpler and not stress as much.

I added a new packet in my shops this week. It's for teaching Hard and Soft C & G. There are lots of picture sorting cards, several practice sheets, and a fun game for centers.

You can check out all my stuff by clicking on the word for a direct link.
TpT or TN
Just a reminder- I'm still having a 20% off SALE on most of my packets at my shops until midnight tonight!

I hope everyone is enjoying the last days of our break! Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I completely agree we teachers definitely need breaks to recharge our batteries. I like you go back to school tomorrow so I am soaking up what little bit of "me" time I have left. Hope you have a fantastic week. I look forward to browsing your blog.

  2. I'm glad you mentioned the Rose Parade! I'm now "currently" watching the parade as well! :)
I wish I lived in a place that saw all four seasons. It is suppose to reach 70 today with some humidity! UGH!

Love your OLW! I think I might add that to my 'vision board' for 20-13!!

Best of luck to you in the New Year!

  4. I love your idea of having a bench under the SmartBoard. I can totally relate to your kiddos not being able to reach it because I am only 4'11 and I had the hardest time reaching mine last year. My 7th graders used to laugh about me having to run around to my computer to close a window because I couldn't reach the x. Happy New Year!

  9. Simplify is such a good word! Also, sounds like your bench will be nice and handy. My dad just built me a new mailbox, so I am excited to get it moved into my classroom soon.

Hope you have a great first day back at school!
